Step-by-Step Email Configuration
These instructions are for the person who handles your domain settings for emails. Use these instructions ONLY if you have been notified by Breakfront to set them up.
These settings will make it so your emails sent from EQ (on your behalf) to your customers or suppliers do not get marked as spam.
Step 1
Add the EQ server’s IP address to your current SPF Record in your domain settings.
Step 2
Add your DKIM key to your domain settings.
Step 3
Add your DMARC key to your domain settings.
Step 1 – SPF Record
All you’re doing here is updating the ip address in your current spf record (if you’ve set that up previously). If not you’ll add the record.
The NEW IP address that needs to be in the SPF record is 69.167.138.9 (the OLD one was 69.167.138.75 that you’re replacing).
If you have no existing SPF record, here’s how you create one:
In your domain settings, under DNS you “Add New” DNS record and fill in the following fields:
Type: TXT
Name: @
Value: v=spf1 69.167.138.9 ~all
If you already have an spf record with an IP and you need to add this one, you would type it like this:
v=spf1 ip4:69.167.138.75 ip4:69.167.138.9 ~all
Again, if you already have a record, just make sure the IP address above is in that record (with a space between multiple IP addresses if you have more than 1).

Step 2 – DKIM Key
Step 2 is to add your DKIM key to your same domain DNS settings as follows (add as a new record):
Type: TXT
Name: default._domainkey.YOURDOMAIN.com (EXAMPLE: If your domain was MYCABINETS.COM the entry would like like default._domainkey.mycabinets.com)
Value: Paste in the text of the key we sent you in email.

Step 3 – DMARC Key
The last step you do just like the previous DKIM step. You create another new DNS record the same way with the following values:
Type: TXT
Name: _dmarc.YOURDOMAIN.COM
Value: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:YOU@YOURDOMAIN.COM; ruf=mailto:YOU@YOURDOMAIN.COM; sp=none; adkim=r; aspf=r;
IMPORTANT: In the “Name” field, replace YOURDOMAIN.COM with your actual domain name.
And in the “Value” field, replace YOU@YOURDOMAIN.COM with an email address of whomever you want to receive any reports about issues with emails going through for your company. Make sure the email address you use is part of your company’s domain. Meaning that it’s an email at “yourdomain.com”.
